Erma Caldwell Erma Caldwell, MSW, LCSW-C, is co-director of the Counseling and Guidance Center. She received her BSN from Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing and Johns Hopkins University and served as Director of In-Service Education at John Hopkins Hospital She holds a Social Work master's degree in the clinical program of Catholic University of America. She is a Board Certified Diplomate. She received group psychotherapy training at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, DC. For twenty-two years, she has offered individual and group psychotherapy for adults and couples. Her special interests include working with adults who experienced childhood sexual trauma, persons struggling with aging and other transitions, and couples encountering crisis in their relationship. She is licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.   Robert Caldwell, M. Div., CPC, LPC, for more than twenty-five years has practiced individual, group, and couple psychotherapy in Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC. He is a writer in the field of self-help and self-psychology for Pathways and Baltimore Resources. He founded and directed Quest, one of the nation's pioneering growth centers. He is now co-director of the Counseling and Guidance Center and heads its program for couples through The Relationship Institute. Over the years he has offered lectures, seminars, and workshops such as Journey, based on the 12 Steps, and Making Love Stay, a program for strengthening the marriage bond. Group Therapy has been, and continues to be, an essential part of his practice. He received his masters degree from Yale University, is a founder of the Gestalt Institute of Washington, and is a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists. He has been president of the Maryland Mental Health Counselors Association and is a Certified and Licensed Professional Counselor in Maryland and the District of Columbia, respectively.
